Uttaran actress gets a lucky break, to feature in an ad with Salman Khan

Salman Khan is known to give breaks to promising newcomers. He has given his stamp of approval to many actors, composers, singers etc.

After Rahul Bhatt from Bigg Boss, now it is Rashmi Desai (Tapasya of TV serial Uttaran) who is the latest beneficiary of the actor's penchant for promoting young talent.

Rashmi met Salman during the promotion of Dabangg when Salman was invited as a guest on the show, India's Got Talent.

The producer of the show, Siddharth Basu, had asked the actress to perform live to Munni badnaam hui. An ardent Salman fan, she confirmed immediately when she heard he would be there.

Rashmi danced her heart out and Salman appeared highly impressed with her act. Later, he joined her on stage to do a jig. A source close to Rashmi adds, "In the evening Rashmi met Salman backstage and told him that it was her dream to work with him sometime in the future.

The actor told her it would be his privilege and that he would keep her in mind whenever something suitable came up. He kept his word by recommending her name for a commercial starring him. "

A few weeks ago, Salman was offered a new endorsement deal for a soap ad. The ad required a fresh female face and he decided to give Rashmi an opportunity.

He told the agency about her and they were more than willing. "She is very well-known on television and they too felt she would look good alongside Salman. When the actress first got the call, she thought someone was joking with her. But once the creative team came and met her to finalise the deal, she knew it was for real. "

The shoot was eventually canned at ND Studios in Karjat. Rashmi says, "Working with Salman was a very good opportunity and like a dream come true for me. Ever since I was in school and college Salman has been my dream guy.

When we first shot for the ad, I was very nervous because he's such a big star but he made me very comfortable. I really appreciate it that he pushed me for his ad.

The day I was shooting I didn't know how he would be as there's a huge difference between TV and film stars but I found Salman to be very down to earth and sweet. He treated me like a princess and was very warm with my family.

I felt no difference with him as he made me feel comfortable in a few minutes. I respect him tremendously today. Now I understand why people are crazy for him. Thank you so much, God!"

When Prachi Desai had told a few friends that she was keen to work with Salman, he went out of his way to make her a part of a washing powder commercial he was to do.

According to The Times of India, Salman announced to the reporters during a recent interview that he broke up with Katrina but that they are still friends.
“I have broken up with Katrina. We were friends then for everybody, we are friends now. A relationship breaks if it gets stretched in different directions, or one person does not grow, or the other person takes a different path, or there is some misunderstanding or they have grown out of love,” Sallu said.
Kat was at the press conference for Etihad Airways. Everything was going smooth, but soon the lady was overcome with emotions when asked about her personal life.
“If Salman Khan has said he’s single, I’ve also said I’m single. I am single. But beyond that I don’t think I need to give too much of details,” Kat said. “If Salman says we’ve split, it must be true,” she added and walked out of the press conference shortly after.
If buzz is to be believed, Katrina started to cry backstage and vowed to make changes to what reporters are allowed to ask during press conferences!
“What happened was very, very disturbing. I had the entire congregation of media persons questioning me about a statement made by Salman. If for all these years I haven’t spoken about the relationship, why should I do so now? I won’t be bullied into talking about my personal life. I am going to take contractual action to ensure limits are not crossed at these events,” Katrina said according to The Times of India.
“Whether it is my personal or public space, I’ve noticed I allow people to take too many liberties. From now on my personal life remains out of public eye. And those who wish to share a personal equation with me better respect that,” she added.
Phew!! This sounds more than a drama to me…

Salman Khan still rules the hearts of million all over. Ironically, when recently, audience went out to watch Akshay Kumar starrer Khatta Meetha; they came out praising Salman and not Akshay.
No no Salman Khan is not in the film. Actually, Salman’s Dabangg is all set for the release and its’ first theatrical promo was shown during the screening of Khatta Meetha. And instead of talking about Akshay’s film, the audience was raving about Dabangg and criticizing Priyadarshan’s comedy.
Dabangg is indisputably the most-awaited films of the year and most preferred among its’ contenders like We Are Family, Anjaana Anjaani, Action Replayy, Guzaarish. All thanks to Wanted mania which is still in the heads of our audience. Salman is all set to recreate the same magic.

Salman is the king of debutanes, i think he is only actor in bollywood who introduced so many new actress, quite few of them have been very sucessfully as well!
Coming back to 2010, Salman introduced the beautiful Zarine Khan in Veer, and as soon as we saw the promo, the first thing many fans wrote, this is it for katrina kaif, zarine and salman the next big jodi! And now Salman is introducing Sonakshi Sinha in Dabangg and first comments i see is salman - Sonakshi the next it jodi hehe iam only joking the post is not about that, but more like which pair do you like better!
